I always wanted to be a juvenile delinquent but my parents wouldn't let me

Happy new year people. As is custom at this time of year, the past month of liquids has been one both hard and heavy, particularly as we have gone through Christmas like a hot knife through a delicious loads of cans. Last month it seemed fit to have a drink at literally every moment. Are you eating crisps? Have a pint. Is that a sink you're scrubbing? Here's a gin. Ah so you're sweeping the floor? Enjoy this bottle of Merlot. Here's what we've seen and can't remember. Now it's all about the resolutions, the new dreams and aspirations. We are going to clean the window sill. We might even get the boiler to work. And stop flicking snot around the room. Maybe...

Qualified to satisfy you

Vibes were also to be found elsewhere over the festive period. From the barrage of xmas parties to visiting kiddies by the seaside and getting well savoury, there was plenty of magic to be culled from the season to be jolly. There was too much business going to sit in front of a laptop, hence the lack of blather on here. We even found it in ourselves to get deep, down and dirty with some scotch eggs... ooh matron...

Christmas 2013333333

Oooh hun - Christmas is a magical, frosty, liver killing time of year. You're constantly encouraged to drink at every opportunity and if you don't have five courses of whatever it is you're eating, then it's frowned on and you're a fucking little prude.

November is a time best spent battening down the hatches and ensuring all your trousers are elasticated of waist so they can take the extra pressure in December.

2013's Christmas time was no exception to previous years in the binge drinking/eating stakes. We were out far more than we were in. But it really is a pleasure to go through the final working weeks in the run up to the big day taking long lunches and constantly being either pissed, on the way to being pissed or getting over being really pissed. At times it was painful. Very painful. It was great to reach Christmas in one piece in order to have some proper shut eye and a slight respite before it all kicked off again in time for new year. Ouchy wouchy...
